Macomb’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) is currently sponsoring a Pitch Competition with a grand prize of $5,000 to help entrepreneurial-minded students (like you?) start their own business.
If you haven’t heard of it yet, the CIE is physically located on the College’s Center Campus, but its mission transcends all of Macomb County. A one-stop resource for those with a plan to start a new business or grow an existing one, the CIE is especially committed to inspiring Macomb students to become successful entrepreneurs.
Interested? To enter, draft a proposal for a new business that includes:
- a (clever) company name
- description of the product or service
- niche that it fills
- target market
- market potential
- anticipated competition
- sales strategy
- what sets your business idea apart
Submit your proposal online by March 31st. Those selected as finalists will receive free coaching before pitching their idea live to the judges. Second- and third-place winners will receive $3,000 and $1,000, respectively!
